Actually I'm only 95% sure, because of my own meditative experience. The other parts are from authorities on the subject; those who can see it, those who have been there and back, like many of the contributors to Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
How do you know that space is a vacumn, have you been there? Some things you learn from others.
How can you be sure about this topic? Meditate, meditate, meditate. All of this knowledge is available to you within yourself if you can access it. Meditate on Wahe Guru.
