Hi! I am just curious, would you happen to know the meaning of the word "charnathia"? It is in the gurbani and raagi jathas say it often. I have heard it in a sentence, "Tera nam, kari charnathia" The next line was "Jai mann gursa hoi" I don't really expect you to know what it means but do you know where I might be able to look for words from the gurbani that I don't know the meaning of.

I do not understand the word you are referring to. How do you spell it in Gurmukhi?
Normally, to find the meaning of a word you can go to a Punjabi dictionary. If you know Punjabi you can use the book " Punjabi Sahbd-Roop te Sahbd- jorl kosh" or in English "Guru Nanak Glossary".
