could you explain the concept of "DUALITY"-- it appears in gurbani a lot but I've never heard an accurate explanation

{REPLY} Sat Nam. We live in "duality" so long as we see ourselves as separate from God. Duality causes us to have doubts, to feel separate from other human beings ("If you can't see God in all, you can't see God at all.") and to feel alienated and alone. The purpose of life is to achieve Oneness with God - to merge into that unison consciousness that was experienced by the enlightened beings who spoke the words recorded in Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
