WHY DO MEN AND WOMEN SIT ON DIFFERENT SIDES IN THE GURDWARA. ISN'T SIKHISM ABOUT BEING EQUAL.

Men and women having their own side of the room is not about being unequal. This is an energy balance of the polarities.

Imagine the Guru as a passageway to the infinite cosmos of God and all creation. Then we sit, men as one polarity and females as the opposite polarity generating a certain charge on our consciousness to make a connection through the Guru to God. When we sit in the Sadh Sangat, we loose our personal identity and become part of that energetic unit where we sit and get a transformational experience of this special place; by hearing the Gurbani, by singing the Gurbani or by listening with all 3 trillion cells and allowing a transformation to take place.

This is a something very powerful and an experience for you to explore. This set up is to help you get out of your mind's chatter and thoughts and give you a powerful position for an uplifting spiritual experience.

The Gurus' technology is all for your benefit, after all, chattering in the Gurdwara and looking around at people is distracting and does not help you get deply into your own self and your own meditation.
