Sat Sri Akal,

I'm not sure if I'm posting this question in the right forum, but here goes:

I have an intense desire to go to New Mexico and connect with my Sikh brothers and sisters down there, as the unity and sense of community amongst the Sikhs there seems to be much stronger than it is where I live.... What I'm getting at, is, do you know if there are any kinds of exchange programs where I could go there, learn about Sikhi, and grow spiritually? Should I just attempt to get a summer job there? (another question would be, how could I do that?) I'm a student at the moment, and I would really like to go, and gain some knowledge. My first choice would be to go to Amritsar, but financial circumstances do not permit me to go.....What can I do?
