Hello...I hope that saying that does not offend you...or would you like me to say sat sri akal? anyways to the point...I think that your replies to the hair cuttin issue have been a bit biased.. I dont think that cutting your hair makes you unequal among other sikhs...but it seems to me that is what your are stating...YOu know God loves all...It is not so much about looks as it is your mind set...belive true and you will stay true...If you consider yourself a sikh and you have a good mind it all about trying...so..are you being biased towards cutting your hair?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Yes, of course we are biased in favor of keeping hair! Yes, God loves everyone, but does that make us think that we should ignore the teachings of our Guru? -- Yes, God will still love us no matter how we mess up our lives. So what does that prove? God loves the fool and the drunkard as well, but does that mean that's what we should be? For our own self-respect as Sikhs, there are guidelines we have been given so that we not only honor our souls (which is who we really are, divine beings temporarily in human form) but do things to help us remember the God who created us, breathes in us (and gives us long hair.) It's not question about people being good or bad, it's about people having the courage, commitment and consciousness to live up their best potential as Sikhs. SP
