Some people may refer to Sikh's as "Singh". This is a casual reference. A Singh is the last name that a Sikh man takes when he becomes a Sikh. It means Lion. A woman takes the last name of "Kaur' which means princess. So, you might refer to a SIkh woman as a "Singhanee" or Lioness. Again this is a casual or colloquial reference to a SIkh person.
