Waheguru jee ka khalsa, Waheguru jee ki fateh!

I just read the question about which hand should females wear the Kara in? Well, as far as I'm concerned I thought that Guru Gobind Singh Jee wanted women and men to wear a kara to represent equality and If women need to protect themselves. They could Do that! Guru jee didn't want ancient Hindu tradition to be followed by sikhs..where the sister puts something on her brother's arm ..which means that he will protect her. Rakhri sounds more like it! Oh I yap too much. Anyway, My question is. Is that's the case then Why does it matter which hand does a girl or a guy wear a kara in? Thanks!
