Summary of Question:Yogi Bhajan's Authenticity.
Category:Other
Date Posted:Friday, 9/15/2000 2:28 PM MDT

Hello,

I stumbled upon a web site by a "cult expert". One of the cults listed in his search engine is 3HO. Ex-3HO members have posted numerous articles regarding the behind the scenes events that take place within 3HO. There are numerous documents showing evidence Yogi Bhajan is involved in money laundering, organized crime, and other contolling behaviors that are regarded as being cult like.

Please respond or clear up this matter because in Vancouver the Punjabi community is really spreading the word on this web cite and there is talk about reporting the matter to the Akal Takhat to have Yogi Bhajan ex-communicated from the Sikh Panth if he dosn't clear his name.

Talk to you soon ?

Satnaam

Ah yes, the website you are referring to is by a "deprogrammer". He makes his money by "deprogramming" people who have been 'seduced' into 'cults'. Now, in order to make money doing that, you have to have cults, so his Web site warns parents about all the evil cults that are lurking. You may have noticed that when Sikhs are unable to live as Khalsa, they try to dilute the teachings to fit themselves. Several Americans who have been unable to keep up and live as Sikhs have decided to spend a lot of time and effort slandering Siri Singh Sahib ji. They have contributed to the gross negativity on the site.

Notice that the articles on the site by the "former members" are anonymous.

If you will notice the "documents" do not show any of those things you said about Yogi Bhajan. There are legal charges against other sikhs, not him. (So I guess that means that you are a criminal too by association.) And possibly some lawsuits that have been filed against him, but were lost or thrown out of court. These are not proof of anything. You can say anything about anyone in a lawsuit.

The bottom line is simple. Saints are always slandered and folk are quick to believe the slander. Slander is poisonous and, as Guruji says, "Those who speak slander just eat their own excrement". The truth is clear. The fruit does not fall far from the tree and one can easily see and understand Yogi Bhajan's true nature by spending time with the teachers he has trained -the American born Sikhs. The purity is evident and obvious. Yogi Bhajan has no need to defend himself against the negativity of others. Do not simply believe what you read on the Net. Understand the Truth in your own heart.
