You see, Iam very confuse rite now? You see a lot of ppl i know are very knowledged ppl in terms of sikhism. They can read and understand every aspect gurmukhi and they even recite the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The problem is here that none of this ppl keep the rehat of the khalsa. They come up with the reason that, since we are doing good deeds, whats the use of keeping the uniform of khalsa. The need of keeping the rehat is washed away with the modern times. I feel that it is true, there is no need for the rehat since we are no longer being discriminated by moghuls or any other ethnics. The part of the uniform to stop us from indulging in bad stuff like adultery can be all contol by the mind, and it doesnt need the use of a kechara. The part that sadness me the most that this ppl are so self assured that what they r doing is right and is starting to give me the chills that, what have I born to believe all this time is being proved wrong by the people around me. Please give a piece of story or an advice that wil

l boost my morale up again. Well when u present me with the answer please be in detail because I really need morale boost. Before I end, I would like to quote from a movie " When we were young over cup of faith was small, so when someone was preaching, the cup of faith would be filled in an instant. When we grow up the cup gets bigger and it gets harder to fill it up because we start to question faith and religion"

ciao

My dear one,

How challenging!!!!! The mental and psychic challenges that are facing us today are equally daunting as the life threatening challenges that faced us in the times of the Gurus'. The foolishness of those people's words and actions does not change the power and magnitude of the Rehit Maryada given to us by Guru Gobind Singh. (see "Victory & Virtue" book on Sikhnet)

Read the stories of the Gurus' i.e. Max Macauliff-The Sikh Religion-. You can see how the people of those times were surrounded by doubt and challenges just as you describe your situation.(on Sikhnet)

Read the Siri Guru Granth Sahib in English (i.e.Bhai Manmohhan Singh edition) and see how the Guru directs you.(on Sikhnet)

Bana, Bani, Simran, Seva are the format for the modern Human being. The challenges of today are even greater than before. No one is subjigating us directly. Our own minds and this modern life is eating away at our grit anfd faith. (Bana Bani Simran Seva described on Sikhnet)

Take some time now to give yourself an experience.

First of all, surround yourself with those that are inspired and practice the Rehit. If there are none near you then.....you do what the Guru has given us as a formula for the enlightened Human in this modern Aquarian age.

Experience your excellence and Godliness. Stop your smoking, drinking, drug taking, sexing, meat eating(if you do). Start combing up your hair in the amrit vela(3-6 am), tie a dastar, take a cold shower, do you nitnem, chant Wahe Guru, read from Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Wear your 5 kaka's. Exercise, speak kindly, share with others, earn and work, live righteously and see God in all. Do this righteously for 40 days and see how you feel then,

You can load so many books on the back of a donkey, but still it is a donkey and not a scholar.

You are asking for help. Guru Gobind Singh has given us the perfect formula for an individual to live as a Soldier-Saint. You must be a soldier to fight the negativity of your mind and the negativity around you. You must live detached as a saint, knowing that this is all God's play...and still you are divine.

God bless you...and keep up....chardi kala.
