Summary of Question:	Why do people put oil in their kids' hair

Many sikh kids' parents put oil in the kid's hair. Why do they do this? Does it have anything to do with the sikh religion?

Like many things we Sikhs do, it has a reason that may have been forgotten over time.. After the hair is washed the oil restores the moisture and helps the hair moderate the psycho-magnetic energy field of the head.
