Summary of Question: | Kirtan Database |

Kirtan sheets are often given during prayer recitals in most Gurdwaras here in Singapore. However, the original copy of each sheet has to be manually created by photo-copying a shabad from the Shabad Gutka & then pasting it on a blank sheet of paper.
I wish to create a database that would allow users to search for any particular shabad & simply print out a copy of it. The trick is....how do I distinct one shabad from another....I need to find something unique in each shabad that would aid the search process...Kindly Help

Sat Siri Akaal. What a wonderful seva!
I recommend you use key lines the way that the Amrit Kirtan shabd book does. The refrain or popular line of a shabd is always underlined, and in the index in the front, one looks up first by by letter and then by key phrase. I recommend you speak also with a Bhai Sahib or gyani in your area on this for additional practical advice. But start by studying Amrit Kirtan and how it is organized.
