Sat Siri Akaal.
Do not blame Sikhnet. It could be that online Sikh matrimonial services attract the Sikhs who are not keshdhari! It could be that Sikhnet and other such matrimonial sites are not truly representative of the population out there looking for a spouse. We have no way to confirm that, but it is a possibility.
The internet is worldwide, and SIkhnet is not in a position to tell people what to say in their matrimonial ads. Ask any webmaster how to limit that; they will tell you it is not really a practical option. The only way would be for every matrimonial ad to be screened by some website staffer making judgments about people s/he is not entitled or in a position to make. Nor would any webmaster have that kind of TIME. So blame the ones who post the matrimonial ads, blame whatever culture or thinking it is that encourages Sikhs to cut hair and shave. There are other ways to find sardars besides Sikhnet matrimonials! Guru ang sang,
