WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

i was wondering as to HOW much time is one supposed to spend during Amritvela...some say meditation for 15 to 30 minutes...some say repeat WaheGuru for some minutes...some say do Japji Sahib...others say do Japji Sahib,Jaap Sahib and Tva Prasad Swaiyye and still others say to do Shabad Hazaare and Anand Sahib along with the mentioned 3 morning Banis...so the simple question here is that for how long is one supposed to do Nitnem since Nitnem could be anything and done in any way...i don't know if there is JUST ONE way of doing Nitnem as i have just mentioned the various ways people talk about.

My other question is that does Amritvela continue a little after sunrise? i don't know if it continues even after sunrise unless the sun has completely risen. Again here there are different things said about Amritvela...some say its from midnight to sunrise...some say 12:30 AM to 6 AM...i have read on this forum that its from 3 am to 7 am.

thank you in advance

Amritvela can be all you have mentioned. The most practical, daily practice is 3-7 am. You need to look at what you hope to get out your amritvela practice, which may change. Some times I spend all of my time doing a particular meditation which is working on something I need at the time, like prosperity, anger, self-esteem, etc. Some times I may be doing a Sahej Path during that time, and yet other times I may be doing a blend of JapJI, yoga, meditation and reading from the Guru. I have even had times when I played and sang Kirtan. The important thing is to do something daily during that time. Evaluate what you need and stick to it for at least 40 days. Your needs will change, and therefore what exactly you do will change as well. What ever you do, be consistant and make sure you are relating to the Infinite. Allow your inner Guru to guide you.
