Dear Sikhnet Moderators,
Let me begin by just saying, that you guys for the seva you are doing, are worthy of the praise of the supreme Lord
I have a question regarding praying to the Gurus seperately, I am a firm beleiver in Gursikhi, but i have managed to confuse myself....again
Guru Gobind Singh in Chandi di Vaar says "Sri Harkrishen Thiyaye Jis dithe sabb dukh Jaye" - Meditate on Guru Har Krishen and all sorrows and hurts will go
Guru Gobind Singh in Chandi di Vaar says "Guru Tegh Bahadur Simariye Ghar Nau Nidh avve Thay" - I think this means meditate on Guru Tegh Bahadur and your house will fil of riches and happiness
(these are also present in the Ardas)
Praying to Guru Ramdas, you can achieve a miracle
However in Chaupai Sahib, Guru Ji in reference to Waheguru JI says "Tujh bin koi avar na thiyaun" - I should not meditate on anyone but you "joh vaar chaun so tum te paun" - whatever I want I should obtain from only you
I think I will go on to answer my own question, but I am not sure if this is correct - I truly believe Guru Nanak was God manifested himself on Earth,(app Nirayan Kallathar Jagg me parrvariyo) and his light was caried in the bodies of the Guru's.
So is praying to the Gurus, praying to God??
If this is correct, then we need not meditate on our Sat Guru's, but follow in foot steps of our 10 fathers and pray only to the supreme lord "Dhata" - The Giver
Also Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our Guru - do you think Guru Ji has a soul as such, or just the joth of Guru Nanak? do you think Satguru Granth Sahib is in meditation?
I would really be interested in your views? (i'm sory if my questions seem weird, I tend to sit here whilst I should be studying and just wonder all day about the magnificance of Waheguru and my Gurus, and in the process get no studying done, and confuse my self, so i dont do any work till i find the answer,I get my self into a loop)
Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fathe

Your confusion comes from your "intellectual" mind games with yourself. Just chant the Naam and "experience" the bliss that is felt. How you have "figured" it out sounds fine. Some one else could probably "debate" it differently. Is that going to make you a better Sikh? No! Just live with consciousness and experience the bliss of the One. GTKK
