My Gurmath teacher has said a number of times that "You guys are really lucky to be born into a Sikh religon. You must have done something extremly incrediable to deserve being born into a sikh family. Your bhgathi must have been really high" Why does he say this to us. he is basically saying that Sikhism is the best religon in the the world. I haven't questioned him about this.

I disagree with your summary. He is not saying that Sikhism is the greatest religion in the world. Because, Sikhism is not a religion, it is a path to God consciousness. It is a practice and an experience.

He is saying that you having the Siri Guru Granth Sahib as your guide and teacher in this life is a great blessing. Have you ever had a real experience of how the Guru works in your life?

The Rehit Maryada is so modern. The Jap Ji Sahib by Guru Nanak.....read it and understand it...it will give you the most deep understanding of life...it will make you a mater of your own destiny.
