you asked a very good question. here is what i think you should do when you see that happening. do not react. but how could you listen to something like this about your religion calmly??? this is how you should approach them calmly. ask them if they know why are sardars known for 12:00 clock? and i bet you they don't or else they wouldn't have the guts to say anything like that. tell them, why and here is why. when some of the cruel muslim rulers like aurangzeb used to rob the innocent public ( usually hindus and sikhs) and take away their daughters, wives, mothers, or sisters to abuse them, at this time Sikhs were hidding in jungle in order to survive because sikhs were being killed on sight. when the clock ticked 12:00 clock sharp all the sikh saint soldiers used to come out of the jungles and attacked the cruel muslim rulers who took away the women for sexual harrasment and then they saved those women from those unkind inhuman animals and sent them to their respective homes safely. this is why we, the sard
aars are known for the time 12:00 clock. and if they didn't saved the women ( no matter which religion they belonged to), i wonder what would have happended? no one else from their families or religion had the guts to save them thus they should be grateful to our ancestors for sacrificing their safety, and lives to save their women and not crack jokes on them. i beg you to tell this to each of the person who you have heard cracking jokes on sikhs about this. to my astonishment i have met such sikhs as well! but i guess they never found some one who could have told them who they actually are and what their history is. i know it is a shame but we need to forgive them who are ignorant and try to inform them about this. remember to be proud of your history when you tell them, they should be able to hear it in your voice!
