Summary of Question:Reply To Cutting Hair
Category:General Sikhism

Recently in your replies, you quoted

"Women should not have facial hair. If she does she has a glandular imbalance that should be corrected. Plucking eyebrows and dark hairs that are natural to a woman can be lightened. A woman must feel a beautiful and confident and graceful nature. If the facial hair is heavy like the beard of the man, then it should be removed for medical reasons and be done with it. "

Remember that sikhs are not suppose to cut hair from any part of their body. There is no difference among women and men in sikhism (equal rights and responsibilities). So how can the women be allowed to keep their facial hair while the men are not. Thankyou for your reply. Keep up the good work.

I DID NOT MEAN THAT WOMEN SHOULD PLUCK THEIR EYEBROWS. IT SHOULD SAY, 'RATHER THAN PLUCKING EYEBROWS AND OTHER DARK HAIRS ON THE FACE, THAT ARE NATURA TO A WOMAN.........THEY CAN BE LIGHTENED.
