Summary of Question:	Not Sure Whether To Keep Hair

Sat Sri Akal,

I am a student at university and recently i have decided to keep my hair. I havent cut it for about 4 months (including my beard) but i have having some doubts for some reason.

I am thinking whether i should wait and keep my beard later, like in 4 months time, when i really want to keep it. At the moment, i want to keep it but sometimes i feel as though i SHOULD keep it. I dunno, i'm kinda confused. I dont know whether it is better to wait rather than carry on doing it now.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You are confused because you haven't completely made the commitment to your own highest consciousness as a Sikh. As Sikhs, we simply do not cut our hair. That's it. Doubts come when we start bringing other factors into our decisions. there have been pages and pages on this website about the value and importance of keeping our hair, living as God intended. So I'm not going to repeat them. We do not know if we are going to live tomorrow -- really, it is all according to God's will if we get our next breath. And each breath is God's precious gift to us, so with Guru's grace we will use it to make wise decisions. blessings, SP
