(REPLY) Sat Nam. I am not a psychologist, but I would suggest that possibly your depression may be needing some professional medical help. However, from a spiritual standpoint (which is the most important perspective!) I would suggest that if you want to be happy, you start finding ways that you can SERVE people who are in need, rather than focusing on what YOU need or want. It is easy to feel sorry for yourself, and feel you are "being taken advantage of" but you have the power to change that, if you change your attitude. There is great power in simply counting your blessings. I know that seems like a platitude, but it is absolutely true, that an attitude of gratitude will bring blessings to you. You are not crippled, you have both arms and legs, you are not starving, you do have friends, so stop focusing on what you lack in your life, and find ways to help others feel better! Do some seva. REad Japji Sahib every single morning to get your perspective about what your purpose is on Earth. You were born to have the opportunity to EXPERIENCE the God within you, and you have the guidance of the Shabd Guru to turn to and experience. Do it. Blessings, SP
