Hi
I hope that you are able to help me. Over the past year I have gotten more into Sikhi, but I have asked so many people what my name means i.e. family, friends and even other Sikh websites but nobody really knows and the website didn't reply, which was quite disheartening.
Please take the time to find out for me, I would be truly grateful
By the way my name is "TAJINDER".
God bless you all.

Dear Tajinder Ji,
The meaning of your name depends on the pronounciation of it. There are two possible meanings, one is if you pronounce it Tej-Inder, and the other if you pronounce it Taaj-Inder. I've included the meanings of both pronounciations:
Tejinder - Tej is Glory/Light/glittering light/credibility; Inder is Supreme; the word Inder is also a variation of Indra. This can be translated to mean the Glittering Light of the Supreme, or credibility of the Supreme/Supreme Credibility.
Tajinder - pronounced Taaj-inder - Taaj is Crown and Inder is Supreme. This can be translated to mean Supreme Crown or Crown of the Supreme.
Hope this helps.
