Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Waaho Waaho is actually a word that means 'hail hail' as in praise praise. Har is indeed one of the MANY names for God. Gurdwara uses Waheguru to meditate on the naam. Wonderful. That's great. When you practice at home by yourself or with your family and friends, agree on what you will recite, and then chant it! You can use any of the names for God that appeal to you and your understanding of Him. God, Allah, Waheguru, Har Har, Sat Nam. Akaal Purakh, Rama Rama, Lord Lord, Ek Ong Kaar, Karta Purakh; mul mantra, sloks of Sukhmani (any or all 24 of them). The list goes on.
Waheguru is the mantra used by 10th Guru on the first Baisakhi. Please study jaap sahib of 10th Guru. He cannot limit God to one Name either. He opens this bani by saying 'how can I call You, You who are so great? Rather than try to name You, the One True Creator, I shall call you by Your DEEDS. There is no one single name for God. The word "God" is a convenience, a reference point, but not a description, you see? So don't fuss about what they recite in Gurdwara; Create a personal practice of your own chanting the name or names of God that appeal to you. Guru ang sang,
