i am a sikh girl....im very proud of it! the only problem is that now, being a college student and a teenager at the same time, i have conflicting views on sexuality....there is this boy i like...i have fantasies about him.. though under NO CIRCUMSTANCES...would i ever pursue those fantasies as i am saving myself for marriage...and i wouldn't even think about marrying him since he is not even indian, let alone a sikh...but i still have these sexual fantansies....is it okay for me to have them as long as i don't pursue them or is it a sin...doesn't this correlate with kaam? im lost ....plz help!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat Nam! First of all, congratulations to you on your self control. Kaam (lust) is natural. All you have to so is use that energy (which is your creative force) to create! What can you create that is original and born from your soul and your inspiration? That's what you can use this energy for.

There is a big difference between thoughts and actions. Your thoughts are your own. They do not impact others or create karmas for you. Fantasies are just that. Fantasies. The more your learn how to meditate and control your own mind, the more you can live in reality, rather than in fantasy. "Maan Jeetai Jag Jeet." -- "Control your own mind and be victorious in the world."

Don't be hung up about it. You are fine. There is no sin except feeling that you are not divine.

Remember that whatever you direct your mind to, will grow. Take time every day to focus your attention on the One and let your sadhana be your foundation.
