Yes hi,

I am a female who is 20 years of age. Is it ok for us east indian women to straighten our hair with a straightener?

What difference does it make if your hair is straight or curly? God gave you a package of qualities that make you. If you think that your curly hair is a mistake, then go ahead. Just be careful and kind to your hair so that your do not damage it with heat and chemicals.

Putting on a turban is a great way to straighten your hair. It certainly straightens mine.
