(REPLY) Sat Nam. You are 27 years old, you are not a kid. Is the disease of the woman you love something that will prevent her from having children? Is it something that will cause her to die at at early age? These may be the concerns of your parents-- as well as the fact that she is "large." Whatever the reason, if you are a doctor, then you must be earning a living, and able to provide for a wife without financial aid from your family. So, I think that if you have truly objectively analyzed the pros and cons of a marriage, you may want to continue to try to convince your parents to approve your choice. If they will not, are you prepared to have them angry and disappointed with you? How about the woman's family? You say they know other girls who are "better." Will you someday think the same thing? This is a situation that only you can decide. May God bless you and Guru guide you.
