This is somthing that came to me a while back and i would like to share it with you. Being a Amrithari i get asked many questions, but there was one that i could never actually answer. I would get asked this question.... Show me god!! WHere the hell is it? How can you worship somthing that you cant even explain? I would reply, its a feeling, even Guru Nanak said that it couldnt be explaied. However the answer was staring me in the face when i read Anand Sahib everday but i only understood what it meant recently. If anybody wants to see God, he is very easily seen and you see it all day. It canr be described but you can see its action and it life itself. THAT IS GOD! SO next time somone askes you what Sikhs worship..reply by saying I WORSHIP THE CAUSER OF CAUSE beacsuse if we think about it, thats what we worship, Karta Purak! The cause of cause. We cannot explain the cause but we see it happening all around us. When a plant grown from the dirt its that force that caused it to happen that a SIkh bows to. WHen a person gives in charity they do not read a book to tell them to do it, he/she is instruced through the sachi bani which is not wriiten but is the relationship between him/her and the Cause!(God) Following the Teacher (Guru Granth Sahib) you will recive the true bani in you mind.
Do not look upon any other than the Lord;
the Lord alone is worthy of beholding
This whole world which you see is
the image of the Lord;
only the image of the Lord is seen.
By Guru’s Grace, I understand,
and I see only the One Lord;
there is no one except the Lord
Says Nanak,
these eyes were blind;
but meeting the True Guru,
they became all-seeing.
Worship that cause that will one day scatter your ashes in a thousand places. Its creative power is awesome!
