My question is, is it alright to bow in other religious places (such as mandir, church, etc.) due to respect.
I usually go to mandir with my friends and bow due to respect for the other religion. is that alright.

Sat Siri Akaal. Since many non-Sikhs bow before Guru in a Gurdwara when they attend for some reason, I do not see a problem showing respect in other houses of worship. Your INTENT is pure: you are bowing to the One True Creator, who is everywhere, including the gurdwara, the church, the mosque, the temple, the street, the store, the forest.
