I just have some general questions about sikhism. Why is the Golden temple of Amritsar signifigant or what does it represent to sikhs? Where is the general sikh population located today? What do sikhs hope to attain in thier lifetimes, what is your goal? Thank you for your time.

The Golden Temple in Amritsar is one of the holiest of all Gurdwara's of the Sikhs. It represents the wealth and majesty of the realm of God consciousness, it sits inside a nectar tank of healing waters, the songs of the Guru are sung there 24 hours a day, thousands of people are fed there...it has four doors open to all people of all walks of life...it is a house of God where all are welcome.
Sikhs reside all over the world....India(Punjab), England, USA, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Austrailia, Dubai, All over the world.
The prayer of the Sikh is that God should live within all and we wish well to all to prosper as a creation of the Creator.
My goal is to see God within me and within all.
God bless you.
