I am 16 year old male. I am not married but i want to have sex so bad, but i know it is wrong to have pre-marital sex. instead, i find myself masterbating a lot. is this wrong in sikhy?

Dear one,

Masturbation is not recommended for people like Sikhs and other high aspiring individuals. Khalsa is willing to hold on to their juices for optimum human and spiritual excellance. If you want to relax; exercise, sweat and then meditate, you will get a lot more self esteem and reward.

I would suggest that you read the long essay written on "masturbation" in the Youth forum. It should answer all your questions.

If having sex whenever and with whomever it is available is what the morals of this country suggest....then it is not surprising that you can find information that masturbation is desirable in this same reference. You can always find support for a theory whether it is true or not.

In the Sikh way of life masturbation is not considered an acceptable option for quenching physical desire. The Sikh of the Guru has the best option to search for and find the TRUE source of satisfaction and fulfillment in life. Master your mind at this age and you will master the world while quite young.

When you do your search...masturbation...is spelled this way.
