Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh

Dear Sikhnet,
I would like to ask this question
Is there a way to get rid of anger. Our GuruJi told us that we should not get angry and anger is also bad for our health. I always tend to get angry very fast and i do not like it at all. So please tell a way to get rid of anger.

Everyone has the capacity for anger. You can help yourself not to react with anger. Here are some suggestions.

1. Take a slow deep inhale as you mentally say: Sa Ta Na Ma, four times
Then hold the breath as you mentally say: Sa Ta Na Ma (4x)
Then exhale slowly as you mentally say: Sa Ta Na Ma (4x)

When you become angry your breath shortens and your heart rate quickens. If you can slow your breath down, you can cool yourself and become calm rather than reactive. You can always cool your emotional reactions by slowing down your breath. Watch and practice this for 40 days.

2. Drink a tall glass of water and then slow down your breath.

3. If you are really explosive, drink some water and then eat a banana
