I was the only Sikh guy in my class in my school in India and remember being picked on by every body, being called names for being a Sikh. It became extremely bad after the 1984 riots and one day few guys came up to me and took my 'patka'(a form of turban) off and started making fun of me. I could not take it any more - I fought back and took on five guys single handedly. Everyone was shocked and no one bothered me after that. Remember you have to watch out for yourself and your brothers and sisters. Guru Gobind Singh Ji even said that it not right to inflict harm to others but it is even more bad to not fight for your own protection.....
