Continuation of "Important aspect of Sikhism.

I found this great poem written by one of my classmates in highschool:

I throw off my clothes in disgust,
She wears a tattered sweatshirt from the dumpster.
I ramble through my collection of shoes spread across the floor
She stares at her naked blistered feet and then looks for shoes for her brother
I throw a fit as I stare into my closet full of clothes and declare it empty
She rummages to find a pair the mice haven't gotten yet
My mom walks in as I scream at her for not buying me more
She would give her life for her mother to care
I throw jeans back on and hastily make my way to school
She wishes she didn't have to drop out to feed the family
After school I complain about my job at the mall getting only $6 an hour
She cleans floors, gutters, and toilets for minimum wage.
I work lazily because I don't need a job my parents will pay
She works with dedication, if not, no one eats
I flip on the TV and think about how hard my day was
She feeds her family and is happy she made it through another day
I think about my boring life today
She wonders if she'll live to see tomorrow..
