im in a dire dilemma...i have locks in my hair! (commonly referred to as 'jattah' in punjabi)...my parents are disgusted by it and have tried several methods to take them out...nothing seems to work...upon researching online it says the only way to get rid of 'dreadlocks' or 'braids' and such is to cut the hair...
what should i do!?! do i have any other alternative? I was thinking about just living with the locks in my hair but apparently it is adverse to the natural growth and sustenance of the un-locked hair..
any suggestions?
all will be taken with gratitude..
thanks!

Well, you are in a difficult situation. If you have really tried everything to put gels on your hair and hair by hair pull them apart with no success...then, I think I would cut my hair and use this act as a rebirthing ritual. I would think very clearly about what my hair means to me and make a commitment to my soul about what I am reborning my self into. It can be used like a cleansing and letting go of your past...consciously asking for a new life, new values, new start. Then, as your hair grows back, appreciate it, and recognize it for what it is. Embrace your new identity and "freshness" and rebirth. May Guru guide you. GTKK
