Blessings,i want to thank you first of all for having an oppertunity to ask questions and thank you also for answering them.
This is primaraly in reference to my well being and perhaps the will of God.
I have had a godly desire since my younger days of youth to preform the specific task of being a missionary so to say.Not at all to convert people from their present state of spiritual existance rather to expose the possable deception of materialism in this material world and to help those seeking for help in the catagory of the knowledge of truth.I donot feel that i was put here to conform to what man has made for himself such as civilisation and in context the "modern techknowlogical world". I agree that some things are very beneficial however it pleases the soul when i think of the simplicity of being primitive. Primitive is not that well of a word to use so ill say "a more natural lifestyle".I inturn want to walk about the earth as a "bum" so to say in the sense that i have no place to lay my head. Yet, upon the journey i have faith that God will indeed lead me everyway and provide that which i need at the time(food, shelter, words to speak, etc). So basically i am saying in a way that i want to be used of God in a fashion that i allow him to dwell in me so richly that he takes over and uses my body as a vessel in godly service towards humans. The thing is i live in usa, a country over ran by materialism and licsenced traps binding me to the system of man.Why should i conform to the world?I shouldnt says my soul.I donot want to take the mark of the beast and be labeled by titles and numbers and be followed by barcodes and whatnot.I was born into this world with nothing and i shall take nothing out. What is in the world belongs to God."The earth is the lords and the fulness thereof".
SO here is the big delimna..i am at the point where i have my diploma and also some college credit..Should i waste my time achieving earthly things eventually if im lucky giving me some sort of recognition or a certificate for something i already know is built in me and i can do freely already. Not that i am knowledgeful but it seems well worth it to be led by the hand of God across the globe doing the work that he has instilled in me to do rather than following after the traditions of men and the rudiments of the world. Most people are daying to me :get an education..do this do that..But i have a vision.A purpose granted to my soul. That is indeed different from what i think people are advising me to do.I have somewhat humbled myself so far to abide by what is laid out in front of me tangibaly..yet i am told by the spirit through the prophets of God that what is tangable and seen is not of eternal orgin and the unseen untangable things are of eternal orgin. So my fight is for realization of what is untangable and that these materials are going to keep leading men and women in circles of no substance after they pass on to the spititual realm.
"do not store for yourselves treasures on earth where moth can eat and rust can decay and robbers can steal..yet store for yourselves treasures in heaven (afterlife of rightous)where thief does not exist to steal and rust does not exist to decay and moth cannot eat away of possesions..FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS THERE WILL BE YOUR HEART ALSO"
i know that was long but as you can see it some something that daily questions me and id like some sikhly advice..THANKYOU>>VERY MUCH.
also what is the english word gentle translated as??
thankyou. kevin

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.
For the Sikh, there is no duality between the material world and the spiritual world because the Sikh trains himself or herself through a spiritual practice of meditation to see God within all things. Marriage becomes a vehicle to merge into the True Spouse. Working by the sweat of our own brow gives us sovereignty over our lives. Sharing what we have earned with others allows us to become part of the Divine's great system of giving each and every person what he or she needs to grow. Sikhs do not practice acesticism because the spiritual practice given by the Gurus gives us the meditative strength to be at One with the Divine and in the world, serving the Divine's will at the same time.
I truly believe your soul is calling you to serve humanity in the name of God. What's tricky, however, is that the mind wants to jump in and interpret that calling-it wants to create a picture of what fulfilling that call looks like-and then that creates a desire to serve God in the way our mind has envisioned. And then we start to take actions to fulfill that desire-which, ultimately, is just a Maya leading us away from the original call to begin with. Serving humanity in the name of the Divine doesn't look like any one thing. It is an attitude that you develop within yourself-so that no matter where you go or what you are doing, you are available to serve that moment no matter what it entails.
Continue your education and (if you're not doing so already begin rising in the Amrit Veyla and meditating on God. Develop a discipline and strive to understand the words of the Guru. Stablize yourself in the reality of the created world because God is within it and God works through it. When you make peace with this duality, then it will be very easy for you to see how you can best serve -without the mind or spiritual ego getting in the way.
What you need to conquer is not the outside materialism of the world, but your own mind that lets your own attachments and reactions keep you from seeing the play of God all around you. Begin there. Train yourself meditatively so these things don't bother you, and then see where Guru leads. May Guru bless you and guide you along every step of your journey.
Sincerely,
GPK
