I have a very big problem here. You see i am a laid back person and i think very negativly
of anything in life, i m a perimist and i cant help it that;s why i need your help. The second
thing is that how can i live in chardi kala is there a special meditation to make me think
positive and live in chardi kala since i live with very little friends. i am always sad , don't
feel like talking to anybody and that's why i have little friends and in school i am almost a loner, people also say i am irritating at times but i really cant help it.
but i do find happiness during weekends when i am in gurdwara and i mix around with the youths there.
they make me feel great but then again the rest of the week i am back to square one. I also
have difficulty coping with stress and dont' feel like doing anything anymore. Please help me.

Sat Sri Akal,

I hope that you have talked to a doctor to make sure you don't have depression which is a curable medical illness.

Aside from that, it seems like you long to be with Guruji. When you feel good at the Gurdwara it is most likely because you are with SatSangat. There is a specialness that you feel as soon as you enter a Gurdwara because that is where the Guru is. But you also need to realize that the Guru resides everywhere. That specialness you feel in the Gurdwara can be felt everywhere. Guru Nanak Dev Ji says, "Nanak prays, understand the True Hukum (the truth or the true command) and you will have comforts day and night". Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that all you have to do is understand that that the Guru is everywhere and that we must meet him and want to meet him with all of our heart. Then we will be in comfort because then it will be like we are in Gurdwara surrounded by SatSangat 24 hours a day. This is not an easy task to do! But it can be done .. and that is what we must strive for.

You should always paath/meditate to help you in your way. Japji Sahib, Rehras, and Kirtan Sohila are a good place to start to calm you and help you find your path to the True Guru.

I hope this helps.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
