One morning when I took a hukum naamaa Baba ji told me about nau nidhaan or the nine treasures. My question is what are these treasures baba ji speaks about? I have asked many granthis but they give me a very general answer. I am looking for a little more detail as to what is the significance of the number nine. Also when a hukum naamaa comes from a guru but is from the 3rd or 2nd house what are these houses and what do they signify and what makes it different?
Also I would like to let you know that baba ji has helped you make a wonderful and knowledgable website keep up the good work. May your site be helpful to our unsure sikhs and may Waheguru bless the webpage always.

Sat Nam! According to another posting on this site, the nine treasures are: precious metals, gems and jewels, delicious foods, training in the use of arms, beautiful clothing and various staples, trade in gold, trade in gems, mastery of fine arts, and all kinds of riches." As for the various "Houses" - it means, for instance 2nd House means that next section contains the words of the Second Guru, Guru Angad; 3rd House means Guru Amar Das, etc. I believe the number nine represents two things, First: "God comes down in blessing" and/ or nine indicates the "Completion" of a cycle. Also, Guru Teg Bahadur was the Ninth Guru. Thank you for your prayers!
God bless you. SP
