Sat Siri Akaal. This teaching is common to Asia, if not elsewhere. It is a teaching given by Yogi Bhajan, an Indian. Traditional Chinese also believe the SOUL connects with the foetus (through the 'life gate' --lower spine) after 4 months. Keyword here is SOUL. The foetus is indeed a living organism as part of the mother, but the SOUL actually enters the foetus at 120 days. Said differently, the body-soul connection at conception is NOT automatic. It is the SOUL that informs all human life. It is the SOUL that has asked Waheguru for a body and been given it. If there is no Soul connected to the body, then what do you have? There is so much more to existence than a mere physical body. When one understands this, one's concept of life, death, or abortion changes.
