Hi, I know it's not right to date a guy but would happen to the girl if her parents found out?

Well, it really depends on the girl and the kind of relationship she has with her parents, and on the parents themselves--who they are and how strict or not they are. There is no single answer for your question. Although in other places on this forum, girls have said they are estranged from their parents or kicked out of the house for dating like this. It depends, as I said.

If you are the one in question, dating someone without your parents' knowledge, then ask yourself some or all of the following questions, and answer them honestly in yourself:
-will my parents ever trust me (again)?
-will my parents be angry with me about this?
-do I love my parents?
-do I respect my parents? If I do, then why would I hide this relationship?
-why am I afraid of my parents?
-why am I afraid of my parents finding out?
-is this punjabi boy 'the one' for me or is this just me rebelling against my parents/my society/my SELF?
-do I respect myself enough to draw a line between dishonesty and Truth?
-do I respect myself enough to preserve my virtue in the face of pressure to give in to a boy who might change his mind the next day?
If you are a practising Sikh:
-is dating like this in accord with Sikh principles?
-how do I fee about being Sikh and dating behind my parents' back?
-is it my highest truth as a Sikh to date this boy at all?
