I just wanted to know if a Gurdwara would ever allow two people of the same sex toget married the traditional way, take Lavaah around the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
I read in a answer that there is nothing wrong with homosexuals or gays. We should not judge their sexual orientation (just one aspect of their life). But rather look at Do they identify as Sikh, identify with living righteously, serving others, and keeping their outward identity? Do they believe in making sincere effort to practice the Naam regularly? My own experience has taught me that outside of this different orientation, homosexuals are like the rest of us: they eat, sleep, love, and want a spiritual life/foundation.
Now does this mean it is okay to get married?, if the country they live in has legalized same sex marriges but the couple still want to get married at a Gurdwara and the Gurdwara tells them they wont do it, would it be okay to take Laavah around Guru Granth Sahib if you can get someone to carry out the ceremony?.
I really don't know if anyone would do the ceremony but I thought I'd ask if same sex marriges can have a ceremony, considering they would kind of be going against some of what is written in the Laavah.
I hope you can answer this as best as you can. Thank you!

The purpose of the Lanvan is for marriage of a man and woman with their Guru. It is a balance of the male and female polarities that were created by God to make a whole complement with Guru as their base and procreate and care for their future generations.
A homosexual person can have a relationship with the Guru, but their relationship ia a partnership, not a marriage in the true sense of polarities. If they feel that marriage is what they want to call their relationship, they can do a "Justice of the Peace" marriage. This is offered in some States in the US. Then they can get the "legal" and social or emotional benefits of marriage that they are looking for.
