When a member of the Sikh community dies, what type of funeral service ( example: earth burial, cremation) is usually chosen and why?
If cremation is chosen, is there a burial site (cemetary) the ashes are interred in? Or is it customary to scatter the ashes? That being said, studies have shown that when there is no permanent memorial (gravesite) grieving is complicated. How does the Sikh faith address this issue?
