guru fateh

a simple question
why did not guru tegh bahadurji or guru arjan dev ji give thier shaddeedis
and not fight with a sword
which guru gobind singh ji taught us later
and why is gutkas of nitnem not free of cost as in the case of the christians
plz post this que on the sight

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You would have to ask the Gurus "why" they did or did not do something. They did whatever they did because it was what God guided them to do at that time. As for Nitnems being distributed free, I would love to have that be possible. The Christian Churches have tons of money, for centuries they have collected from their members, so they can afford to do a lot. If all Sikhs would pay Dasvandh (see the website link) then perhaps we could afford to distribute a lot more material free. Meanwhile, you can find the entire Siri Guru Granth Sahib on Sikhnet website available free. SP
