Hi, hello!I was reading a girls question on caste's.could you tell me what the guru said aboutcaste's and why most sikh's cant accept it. Surely if you were dating a guy/girl from another sikh caste your parents would rather have you marry him than someone from a different religion.??????I am a mistri/turkhan- Ramgaria myself and we have our own Gudwara is this something to do with casting or izzit somet religious coz i cant get my head around it. All my mates are Jatt and at the end of the day we eat.

You are right, there is no caste system in the Sikh way of life. We are all Sikhs of the Siri Guru, not Ramgharia.s or Jatt or Papar. Your Gurdwara is run like a social club if it distingushes between castes. In Khalsa there is only Khalsa....this was taught by all the 10 Gurus.

All the young people should get together and form a casteless Gurdwara for all Sikhs and non Sikhs that love the Guru.
