Wahe Guruji Ka Khalsa; Wahe Guruji Ki Fathae,

Just to say, I felt very offended by that idiot, who posted you this message on your forum (on the 23rd of August) saying Jesus is the only way to heaven, not Nanak, not Mohammed and not Buddha. This fool is clearly a chauvenist, no question of doubt. And it is people like him who are largely responsible for waging unneccesary wars throughout the whole of history in the name of religion.

I am of a Sikh background meself, but I am pretty much laid back, live the life of a non-amritdhari. I am not perfect, I don't pray nor do I go to the Gurdwara as often as I should, but One thing that has brought me closer to our WaheGuru is the similarity I have noticed in both the Bible and our Granth Sahib, both holy books go very parallel to eachother, and there is so much similarity in the holy scriptures. I have just as much respect for Jesus Christ as well as for our ten Gurus, Buddha and Mohammed. I believe that one's true faith is in the heart, no matter what Religion we choose to practice, both the Bible and the Granth Sahib strongly urge us to have this strong relation with our creator. He is the God of all man, he is the God of Jesus, Nanak, Mohammed etc etc.

Why can't just some people simply underdstand this? Rather than ranting on about that their faith is far superior to other's. Now Jesus once said that we can only enter the Kingdom of God, except through him and no other way. Krishna and Mohammed said the same thing but in their own words. My understanding of what these three prophets meant was that we can only enter the Kingdom of God, through their teachings and their knowledge they gave to us. The knowledge that Christ gave to his followers and disciples is no different to what Nanak, Mohammed and Buddha had preached, but was the same.

I would advice this particular person that he should consider studying other Holy books, besides the Bible. He should learn about other Prophets besides Jesus Christ and he is sure to find similar traits within different faiths, and how they go parallel in many ways.

REPLY: perhaps he will learn and perhaps he will not... I focus on the fact that in seeing this you have an example of people to avoid. Such comments only come from fear and insecurity (his) and is best ignored. We in the mean time will post things as we belive in all word is gurus word and something to learn from. the good teaches us to live the bad teaches us what to avoid.
