I have read many answers to the daunting queries that sikhs all across the world put to this forums and i feel they are getting answered in the most humble and patient manner. My congrats to the moderators on this.
Regarding the query of Is Turban the only sign of sikhsm , which has been answered in this room more than once i would just like to say is that in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, it is definately not written that turban should be worn . The reason being that Guru Granth Sahib ji talks about uniting one soul to the universal soul. But the point is that if we believe and have faith in Guru Granth Sahib ji, then in bani GURU has been given the outmost respect as he is the one who would take us out from the hell of darkness and englighten us with his blessings. If this is to belived then Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj is our 11th GURU and Guru Gobind SIngh ji who laid the stepping stone for the Khalsa our 10th GURU. how can we say that we would obey the path laid by our 11th GURU but not obey what out 10th GURU said?
So Roop(Khalsa Appearance) is a way of making one self feel (again one self coz you have to prove it to yourself not to the world) that one is in the vicinity of the path laid by the 10th GURU.
Guru kirpa.
